Almost 1,000 years after the start of the Age of Dofus, new heroes are emerging to bring hope to a world in ruins. Everything must be rebuilt, and whether you’re a fighter or a politician, a merchant or an artisan, in WAKFU, everything depends on you!

Alone or as part of a group, you’ll have to arm yourself with courage and foolproof strategies to defeat the shadiest monsters in the World of Twelve, in turn-based battle. Perhaps you’ll make it to the top and fill the role of Governor… or perhaps you’ll end up in prison. It’s up to you to control the monster population, the variety of plant life and even the climate.

    How to install Wakfu step by step for Linux Ubuntu 12.04
    open firefox and a terminal, you will need it. Beware,
    commands are case sensitives and some lines have a mix
    of lower case and upper case letters.

    0. give yourself super-powers :D
    $ sudo su

    1. update repositories listing :
    # apt-get update ;

    2. install the fonts:
    # apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer libtxc-dxtn-s2tco

    3. download file from homepage
    and place it in your home directory, something like /home/user1
    if your account is called user1

    4. and make it executable by typing in a terminal :
    # cd /home/user1
    # chmod +x

    5. then run it and accept default directories:
    # ./

    6. after install run Wakfu once to get updates:
    # /usr/local/ankama/Wakfu/UpLauncher

    note, from there you can run it manually from a terminal by
    typing the following line :
    $ gksudo /usr/local/ankama/Wakfu/UpLauncher &

    7. get the launcher right:
    # cp /home/user/.local/share/applications/ankama-wakfu.desktop /usr/share/applications

    8. edit the launcher, you need root access to run Wakfu.
    use your favorite editor, mine is leafpad and replace the line
    beginning with exec= by the following line:
    exec=gksudo /usr/local/ankama/Wakfu/UpLauncher

    9. now Wakfu appears in your start menu and should run fine :-)

      I forgot to mention that I already had java-7-openjdk-i386 installed into my Linux Ubuntu. If you don’t have java installed on your system you can get it from synaptic tool.
