Soulfu is an RPG by the maker of the ever popular egoboo. Similar to nethack, but with great cel-shaded graphics.
Previously there was a lot of further development on this game going on by fans since it was still so incomplete.

Besides the bizarre controls, the one thing that prevents this from being a truly outstanding game is the lack of game saving ability. If you die, you start over. End of story. Otherwise, very enjoyable.
That’s precisely the point of roguelikes. It’s not meant to be finished unless you practice. A lot.
It’s fun and I love the cel-shaded graphics, though I haven’t quite figured out what the point of it is. You pretty much just wander around and kill things. There’s apparently an endless maze of a castle that you’re in and I have no idea what my overall goal is. There’s a button (presumably) for talking to people but I have yet to find anybody I can talk to. Speaking of buttons, I finally got my controller mapped the way I want it. Their mapping is stupid, it doesn’t tell you what button does what, you have to map it yourself and start a game to try it out. Then, if it’s not how you like it, go back to the menu and try again. Also, their default mapping is horrible, it didn’t even automatically map buttons for fighting on my controller, just moving, looking at your inventory and “talking.” All in all, it’s a decent RPG (even though the description still says MMORPG) but I think I need to play it some more to figure out what the overall goal is. One further bad thing, I don’t think you can save your game.
Added to the list of complaints: healing potions and food don’t seem to have any effect. You don’t get any hit points back from consuming them, as you should. This game is cute but poorly written.
Serjndestroy is right! This is NOT A mmorpg!!
thanks, fixed now!
Thanks for this cute game.

Ain’t a MMORPG folks, much more a hack ‘n slash RPG
this could be a very enjoyable and addictive game… but the controls are extremely frustrating to every newcomer (mouse is useless!), and getting used to this takes tons & tons of patience… other than that it’s an original and fresh-looking cartoonish fighting with rpg look. definitely worth a try =)
